Swimming camps for 2026/2027

Choosing the right swim camp

Beginner swimmers should choose a daytime swim camp program that offers lessons plus free time (supervised by lifeguards and camp counselors, of course). Be sure that your child is interested in progressing in their swim instruction every day.

Experienced swimmers who may be competitive-minded and want to improve their technique are the focus, above. Here, children will get professional coaching and conditioning that will help them improve their speed and strokes. Swimmers here may also coach each other, and the general environment helps everyone grow and deepen their understanding of aquatics.

The list above gives privilege to swimming camps that specialise in training young athletes in competitive swimming, followed by a wide variety of other camps that include swimming among their camp activities, such as tennis and gymnastics. Even at a camp with swimming activities or at least a pool, your child will be able to hone skills in the backstroke, breaststroke, etc.

Of course, parents and kids should never forget that swim camp of any kind is supposed to be fun. Campers are children first, and camp should be about personal growth and development through camaraderie and social activities together. Click on any of the swimming summer camps and programs listed above to find out more about the swimming camps' programs and facilities.
