We strive to build boys’ confidence, develop their sense of independence, and allow them the opportunity to grow as individuals through outdoor recreation, land & water sports, and a wilderness canoe tripping program. The memories and friendships made at Kilcoo last a lifetime, as proven by our robust and active alumni community. Whether it is for 2 weeks or 4 weeks the experience a camper will have at Kilcoo is full of excitement, fun, tradition, enthusiasm, energy, competition, creativity and more. A summer at Kilcoo provides memories for life.
At Kilcoo, our mission is to create a dynamic and supportive environment where boys aged 8 to 16 can thrive. We are dedicated to fostering independence and building leadership skills through our diverse program of water & land activities, sports, and tripping. Kilcoo emphasizes both fun and personal growth, providing a safe, well-maintained space where boys can explore their interests, develop lifelong friendships, and gain the confidence to navigate the world outside of camp. Through teamwork, adventure, and positive role modelling from our experienced Staff, we strive to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared to lead and excel in all aspects of life.

Founded in 1932, Kilcoo remains one of the great, classic Canadian camps. Their programming today follows from that tradition, based heavily in watersports, canoeing, woods lore, and a boisterous celebration of camp culture. Campers past and present are absolutely loyal to Kilcoo, in large part due to the consistency of the program leadership down through the decades. They feel that attending Kilcoo is about more than a summer. It’s a chance to participate in a bigger story with a longer arc, one that ingrains a love for the wilderness, sure, but that also provides solid ground for their development into the leaders of tomorrow. And, indeed, it’s all of that, which is a draw for generations of campers, both locally and from around the world.

The Kilcoo Staff consists of over 70 dedicated men and women, almost all of whom started at Kilcoo as campers. Every Staff member at Kilcoo is uniquely qualified to provide support for your son at camp. Growing up as campers themselves, our Staff members are intimately familiar with all aspects of Kilcoo’s traditions, programs, and procedures. Having experienced the value and impact of a summer at Kilcoo themselves, the staff is committed to sharing those traditions with current campers and giving back to the Kilcoo community. At a minimum, all Staff at Kilcoo are trained to industry standards in both first aid and lifeguarding, though many of our staff exceed these standards with additional certifications.

Washrooms Facilities
More details about accommodations: Campers live in cabins with 8 - 10 others plus their Counsellor and LIT in adjoining staff quarters. Each camper will have his own bunk, a cubby for his clothes, and personal shelving around his bunk area.
Are meals provided? Yes. Our caterers prepare all of the camp's meals in house in the Lodge's kitchen. Typical meals include a hot breakfast, hot or cold lunch, and hot supper with a sweet dessert. Popular meals include eggs with toast and bacon, waffles and breakfast sausage, chicken burgers and fries, grilled cheese and tomato soup, roast beef with veggies and mashed potatoes, and chicken and veggie stir fry. Fresh fruit is available in the Lodge all day whenever anyone needs a snack. The kitchen team includes a special diets chef who prepares meals for all campers and staff with unique dietary needs, including vegetarian offerings, allergy-safe alternatives, or religious accommodations.
Is Kilcoo Camp technology free? Yes. We believe that Kilcoo is a great opportunity for kids to "unplug" from their devices and spend more time in the moment. We have a full-time photographer on staff capturing memories that are compiled into a slide show at the end of each month and into a yearbook that gets mailed out at the Holidays. Campers and parents are encouraged to write letters to one another to keep in touch.
