What is taekwondo?

Taekwondo is a martial art from Korea. It teaches methods of self-defense involving the legs, feet, arms, and hands. Effective techniques are taught for kicking, punching, and blocking. Taekwondo also involves training the mind—to be calm, alert, and aware, among other things.

What does a taekwondo camp have to offer my child?

For instance, at the lower levels (ages 3 to 5), kids are taught important motor and social skills. Kids can also earn belts reflecting their proficiency in taekwondo. These belts include white to orange (beginner), green to blue (intermediate), and brown to black (advanced).
