Since 1912, Sparrow Lake Camp has been giving kids (and families) the chance to experience community, adventure, and fun in the great outdoors. Located 90 minutes from Toronto on a hundred-acre wooded peninsula, our camp is ideal for activities like kayaking, swimming, canoeing, sailing, sports, tripping, arts, crafts, and ropes. 1 & 2-Week Programs, Leadership, & Family Camp.

The annual Our Kids Camp Expo, at Roy Thomson Hall, is a chance for families to meet 70+ camps of all stripes, such as day, overnight, adventure, sports, arts, and education.
Sparrow Lake Camp is a smaller camp with up to 150 campers at a time. This offers a family-like atmosphere while still being large enough for kids to meet plenty of new friends their own age. Our daily schedule gives time for campers to do activities with their cabin-mates in the mornings, and choose their own activities in the afternoons. The evenings are filled with camp-wide activities like dances, capture the flag, socials, campfires, talent shows, and more. In addition to an activity-packed day, our program also features a daily evening reflection and sign-song called 'Vesper' which takes place each day after dinner. This 10-15 minute period offers a non-religious reflection on a theme which is planned with the help of campers.
Choose the right programs and sessions for your child; Sparrow Lake Camp currently has 0 program available; 4 TBD.

At over 110 years old, Sparrow Lake Camp offers a small-camp feel with large camp amenities. This overnight and family camp has scheduled morning activities, choose-your-own options in the afternoon, and social activities in the evenings. This ensures campers’ days are fun-filled and active. There’s a great sense of belonging at Sparrow Lake. Judgment, freedom, inclusivity, and love for one another are the primary rules. Being weird is cool. The kids at Sparrow Lake always feel comfortable, connected, and friendship-building is taken very seriously. Located in a beautiful and natural setting on the Canadian Shield, the camp is situated on over two kilometres of shoreline on Sparrow Lake. Opportunities abound for swimming, sailing, canoeing, land sports, performing arts, studio arts, nature exploration, and classic leisure games. A special spot to meet new friends, have many laughs, and enjoy unforgettable experiences, Sparrow Lake Camp teaches campers the best lesson–to love themselves.
Our staff come from a wide background and even include a number of members from overseas each summer. With 1-3 counsellors assigned to each cabin of 10 kids, depending on age, and an overall staff:camper ratio of 3:1, kids receive the support and encouragement they need to enjoy a sense of belonging and enjoy a wide range of fun and engaging activities. Many of our staff return to camp year after year, and receive 1-2 weeks of training at the beginning of the summer, followed up by ongoing in-service training and support throughout the season. All staff are qualified in first aid, and a full-time nurse lives on site.
