The Our Kids review of Seal Swimming

    our take

Seal Swimming camps and programs aim to inspire and empower kids, while also fostering core values of respect, kindness, and inclusion. The heart of their offerings is Swim Camp, where kids aged 5 to 16 build water confidence, learning stroke techniques and water safety in a structured pool environment. Programs range from beginner to advanced, taught by certified coaches. A key highlight of Seal is the flexibility to personalize kids’ days. For example, parents can sign up for Swim Camp in the morning, then pair that with other programs at the same location. These include: sports programs like soccer, basketball, tennis, and volleyball; arts camps themed on performing arts, hip hop dance, and fashion design; and leadership-focused programs that encourage personal growth, communication skills, and confidence in guiding others. Across all areas, the environment is welcoming and inclusive, with low camper-to-staff ratios. Kids not only stay active and entertained but develop skills, gain friendships, and grow more independent.

    Staff and Counsellors

Each Seal Camp is led by a dedicated Team Leader who oversees daily programming, camper engagement, and safety within their assigned group. Supporting them are Leaders in Training (LITs), who assist with supervision, setup, and activity facilitation, to help maintain strong staff-to-camper ratios while gaining valuable mentorship and hands-on experience. Overseeing the entire operation is a Camp Manager, responsible for the quality, consistency, and overall camper experience across all programs. The Camp Manager is supported by Coordinators who manage logistics, staff scheduling, and program flow to ensure each day runs smoothly. Together, this leadership structure provides a professional, safe, and well-organized environment.
