Visual arts activities give kids and teens opportunities to develop their aesthetic literacy. The programs above specialize in things as diverse as drawing lessons for kids, painting lessons for kids, sculpting, pottery, and photography. Girls and boys learn fundamentals of visual art like composition, perspective, and colour theory. For high school teens, credit courses and portfolio preparation programs improve teens’ chances of acceptance into post-secondary art programs.
Programs are divided by levels of skill. Both beginner and intermediate artists have program options. Advanced programs may need previous visual art experience before enrollment. Kids are guided naturally through classes by teachers, to expand their imagination and embrace their creativity. More affordable programs range between $30 and $120. Intensive, advanced programs are a bigger investment, ranging from $1000 to $5000.
Advanced visual arts programs free your son or daughter to explore their freedom of expression and limitless creativity. Creativity is the curriculum’s guide as they progress through using more advanced tools. Using the tools they learn in class, kids and teens are encouraged to explore the artistic process more fully and express themselves better.
Some advanced visual arts programs include experimentation with digital art, a more modern approach to aesthetics and design. These activities include animation, photo editing, photography, and graphic design. Often, digital art programs follow a STEAM curriculum that blends technology and design activities into a single program that builds children’s hard and soft skills.
The above is a generalized description of programs on our site. Consult each provider for details.
