    Programs and Sessions Calendar

We are known for doing one thing exceptionally well: building confident, independent learners. Unlike traditional camps, our programs are intentionally designed by educators to strengthen how children think, learn, & problem-solve. We are the only learning centre licensed to administer comprehensive cognitive testing for students, allowing us to truly understand how each child learns best. Every day blends structured academic instruction with engaging themes, hands-on activities, and outdoor time, so learning feels purposeful, not forced. Our culture is calm, supportive, & growth-focused. Children learn in small groups, feel seen, and are encouraged to stretch without pressure. Our philosophy is simple: confidence comes from understanding.

The Our Kids review of Oxford Learning Waterloo

    our take

Oxford Learning’s focus on giving kids academic confidence is built into their camps. Students aged 5 to 11 take part in fun programming that blends hands-on activities, collaborative play, and outdoor time with learning problem-solving, math, and literacy. Small groups and a supportive environment encourage kids to grow more self-sufficient and courageous. It’s all rooted in Oxford Learning’s holistic approach to learning and personal development, where kids aren’t taught so much as coached in how to more effectively use their minds. Processing information is emphasized over memorization or repetition. For each student or camper, learning becomes more manageable, thanks to this individually-adapted approach that helps them grow more self-aware and confident.

    See the progress

This location and the team are absolutely amazing here at Waterloo Beechwood. I have two children who attend. One who is diagnosed with ASD and needs some accommodations and another who is neuro-typical. The kids don’t always love attending because it is work, but they are always happy leaving and my husband and I see the progress. The atmosphere is open concept, which at first we weren’t sure about, but it really helps the kids learn to focus and we are hearing from the school teachers that they see a difference. We were looking for a tutoring centre that helps with academics and learning skills and we definitely found it. It’s an investment for sure, but they do have financing programs and work with you if needed. It’s so worth it! The admin team is also really responsive and happy to help, adjusting things as needed. We highly recommend and look forward to continued progress! ... Show More

    Grateful

I am beyond grateful for the entire Oxford Learning team and for how deeply they care about my daughter. You have been my right hand in helping her not only catch up at school but also build her self-confidence. Your dedication, patience, and professionalism truly stand out. It’s clear that everyone on the team genuinely cares about each child’s success. The personalized attention and detailed feedback you provide have made such a meaningful difference in her progress and in our family’s peace of mind. Thank you for your genuine commitment to her growth! We are truly fortunate to have your support and to see how you all cheer for my little one’s success. Thank you!! ... Show More

    Great Program

Tutoring with Oxford has been great for my two sons! They were behind in school, and the tutoring has been helping them to catch up, we can see great improvement with only the first 2 months. Allison and Karyn are great and care deeply with the evolution of all kids ... Show More

    Superb Support

Highest standards of professionalism with down-to-earth and honest approach at the 10 Fischer Hallman location. Very patient and professional when handling scheduling changes. Oxford has both an English curriculum and French curriculum. We decided to have our 7 year old daughter do both. Acknowledging that progress is slower when taking on both curriculums (Oxford ensured I understood this before we even moved forward), our family decided this was best in our situation. Our daughter is in French school full-time so we wanted to give her additional support where she could build her self-confidence outside of regular school. She follows the English curriculum as well at Oxford, in order to not fall behind in that area either. After a few months the progress has been unbelievable. It takes time and continued commitment, but the results for us has come, and it is completely worth the investment. I would rather invest proactively than reactively if she fell too far behind. My daughter adores the teachers and she always leaves really happy and energized after each session ... Show More

    Director's Message

Parents choose Oxford Learning Waterloo for our personalized approach, small-group instruction, and focus on building confidence alongside academic success. Choosing the right summer experience for your child is an important decision; one that goes beyond simply filling the day. As an educator, I understand how meaningful it is to find a program where children feel supported, engaged, and confident. At Oxford Learning Waterloo, our camps are designed to balance academic growth with creativity, connection, and fun. Each day blends skill-building with interactive learning, helping students stay sharp while developing a more positive, confident approach to learning. What sets our programs apart is our personalized and individualized approach. In a small-group setting, we take the time to understand how each child learns; not just what they are learning. Through our unique cognitive-based approach, typically only available through formal assessments, we focus on strengthening the underlying skills that support long-term academic success, while also building confidence and independence. We also recognize that summer schedules are often flexible. In addition to our full-day camps, we offer structured academic programs that require just 1–2 hours per week. This is an ideal option for families who want to maintain progress while still enjoying holidays and time together. Our goal is simple: for every child to leave feeling more capable, more confident, and ready for what comes next. We would be delighted to be part of your child’s summer experience. Please reach out with any questions you have or to book a visit to the centre. We have programs running year round and 6 days a week, so visits are easy to fit in. Warm regards, Allison Bourke Director, Oxford Learning Waterloo

Many staff stay for years and often return to support summer programs even after moving into full-time roles elsewhere.
