Comic art, cartooning, anime, digital design, and figure drawing are some of the many drawing styles covered in virtual classes. In all styles, children unmask their creativity to design original worlds and characters through visual art. Drawing fundamentals are taught in beginner classes. These include shading, light, perspective, and form. When designing characters, children also learn about human anatomy.
Beginner illustrators can browse step-by-step or general drawing classes. Step-by-step programs are a great way to learn the basics of drawing, such as foundation and shape. General drawing programs are typically more creative, as kids explore more than one drawing style. These classes also encourage students to find their personal art style. Prices for beginner classes range between $20 and $40, while advanced classes start at $200.
Advanced online drawing classes encourage students to tell visual stories. Children learn how the composition, colour, and style of an art piece influences its perception. For example, in comic creation classes, children learn how a series of images depict progression in character and plot.
Advanced online drawing programs for high school students specialise in portfolio development. Instructors work one-on-one with students to help them create portfolio pieces that meet the requirements of a postsecondary institution. Children learn their personal artistic process as well, and how to articulate it. Drawing programs help kids build portfolios in animation, character creation, and general art.
Virtual drawing programs are a great way for kids to understand their personal artistic style. Here are some other things children will find in class:
