From day and overnight camps to in-person and virtual programs, Vaughan is home to many exciting opportunities for young kids and teens. There are camps available for active, artistic, and scholarly kids.
With a vast selection of camps in arts, sports, technology, and more, day camps in Vaughan influence your child to work hard and find what they are passionate about. Niche activities such as rock climbing, public speaking or animation expose kids to the possibilities awaiting them in the real world. For kids desiring physical stimulation, sports camps refine their skills in specific sports like volleyball, basketball, or soccer. Some cover more than one sport and build children’s general physical skills such as endurance. Creative kids find self-expression through art camp activities such as music or painting, while, at technology programs, your child’s natural curiosity is satisfied with real-world tech activities like coding, robotics, STEAM, and more. Day camp in Vaughan gives kids and teens the space to meet new friends with various experiences, talents, and cultural backgrounds.
If your child craves adventure along with these other fun activities, traditional camps may be most suitable for them. Here, sports, arts, and technology activities are available along with more unique activities such as wilderness survival and leadership training. At specialised camps, independent work is more common, while multi-activity camps encourage group activities between campers. Camp encourages kids and teens to be flexible and open to new opportunities. Boys and girls are mixed at almost all camps, although some sports camps split girls and boys apart to create teams.
Overnight camps in Vaughan immerse kids and teens in the traditional summer camp experience. Away from home, kids practice making decisions and solving problems on their own. Sleepaway camps are a great way to build children’s responsibility. They learn to take care of their own things and deal with social issues, without parental intercession.
Sleepaway camp itineraries carry on into the evening, where kids and teens are brought together for bonfires, movie nights, and other late-night activities. Lasting a week or more, these camps keep children’s social skills active. Overnight camps with assistance for kids with disabilities are available, which aid in regulating their behaviour and inspiring them to be confident.
Selecting the camp most suitable for your child may be difficult. Formulate a list of goals you have for your child, as well as goals your child has for themselves.
