Excellent Edamame – Explore Deeply, Think Critically, Lead Boldly, Thrive Together

At VegCamp, every day is filled with opportunities to connect with nature, try new activities, and make thoughtful choices that are kind to the Earth, animals, and people. 

Excellent Edamame is an overnight camp experience for teens ages 14–18 ready to lead, explore, and grow with confidence. Campers spend their days tackling outdoor adventures, creative projects, and team challenges that encourage critical thinking, thoughtful decision-making, and leadership. Along the way, they build resilience, stretch beyond their comfort zones, and deepen their connection to nature and the world around them. In this supportive and inspiring community, campers form meaningful friendships, take on leadership opportunities, and leave with confidence, independence, and a stronger sense of themselves and their place in the world.

Note: Depending on camper registrations, participants may be further divided into age-specific groups to ensure activities and challenges are age-appropriate and engaging for everyone.

A typical day includes a mix of:

A day at VegCamp is packed with adventure, creativity, and fun! Campers start with a yummy, nutritious breakfast, then dive into hands-on workshops exploring how people, animals, and the environment are all connected. Campers stretch and gain focus with yoga and mindfulness before heading out for thrilling outdoor challenges like climbing, high ropes, archery, wilderness survival games, obstacle courses, or organic farming. After a hearty lunch, campers participate in guided activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, team games, or quiet time, all designed to encourage connection, creativity, and collaboration. Healthy snacks—including fresh fruit—are available throughout the day. Dinner refuels everyone for evening adventures, which sparkle with campfires, stargazing, house games, and silly talent shows, helping campers build confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of community. Each day ends in the dorms with counsellor check-ins, stories, and lounge games, with a tasty evening snack to round out the day, leaving everyone excited for the next adventure.
