Medics Camp- Discover Theme

DISCOVER Theme Level 3 (ages 9-12) : Scrub in and get ready to discover the amazing world of medical science, health, and the human body! In our DISCOVER MED program theme, Medics will investigate how the human body works and learn how real doctors and healthcare professionals help us stay healthy. From germs and disease prevention to bones, blood, and breathing, campers dive into fascinating medical science topics through fun, hands-on, skill-based activities every day as part of our STEM-accredited program, ranked in the top 10% worldwide by STEM.org in 2025.

Campers learn how to stop the spread of germs, practice proper handwashing, and discover how the heart, lungs, and immune system keep us alive and thriving. They’ll take vital signs using real medical equipment, practice being both doctor and patient, learn the names of bones, examine x-rays, and move through the stations of a fracture clinic. They step into the roles of physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, obstetricians, and more, building essential STEM and first aid skills along the way.

Each day brings a new discovery, from examining a real pig heart to seeing where blood cells are made (hematopoiesis) inside a cow long bone, to learning CPR, how to help a choking patient, and how to use an EpiPen safely. Through interactive, real-world learning where each day has completely different topics, Discover theme campers build confidence, curiosity, and care for others while exploring the exciting world of medical science.
