Our Therapeutic Riding Program permits individuals with disabilities of all ages to take riding lessons taught by Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association-certified instructors. Lessons are offered in seasonal sessions all year-round with 2-3 week breaks for the horses in between sessions. Private, semi-private (2 riders), or group lessons (3-4 riders) are available. Private lessons are 30 minutes. Semi-private lessons are 45 minutes. Group lessons are 60 minutes. The length of each sessions ranges from 8 weeks (Winter/Summer) to 13 weeks (Spring/Fall).

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Independence: Riders who have never been treated equally to their peers experience a newfound independence upon a horse that only grows as they develop their skills.
Courage: Horses are large animals and riding can be scary at first. Overcoming that intimidating feeling builds courage in our riders.
