Geering Up hosts a variety of All-Girls* STEM summer camps at UBC Vancouver, UBC Okanagan, Surrey, Richmond, North Vancouver, and Port Coquitlam locations. Visit our website to learn more about themes and grade groups!

Girls* thrive when they have a focused space to discover, explore, and cultivate their love for science and engineering. Geering Up holds All Girls* Camps every summer to encourage girls* to discover and explore their love of science and engineering. All Girls* Camps offer the same activities as their co-ed counterparts in a girl*-focused space. 

*We use the words “girls” and “women” with an asterisk (*) to intentionally include students and stakeholders who are underrepresented in STEM fields. Cis girls/women and trans, genderqueer, or non-binary people are welcome at our All Girls* programming. Visit our All Girls* page on our website for more information.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Through our activities, we incorporate STEAM concepts into design challenges and step-by-step lessons. In these activities, campers can flex their creative design and problem-solving skills!
  • Curiosity: Our programs are designed to provide an introduction to different areas of STEM that participants may not have seen before.
