Experiential Physics Jr (Grades 8-9)

Experience the wonders of phenomenal physics through hands-on experiments! Participants will have a chance to translate their learnings into creative experiments that blend physics, art, and technology. Explore the wide range of applications of physics through mirrors, prisms, lasers, and more! Whether you’re curious about optics or want to deepen a love of physics, you’re sure to get enLIGHTened in this camp.  

Join this program if you're looking for an interactive physics playground – no experience necessary! Physics is a pre-requisite for many engineering programs. Come explore how physics can be fun and its real-life applications! 

This program is intended for participants entering Grades 8 or 9 in September 2026.

Program Hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Lunch: Participants will go outside for a one-hour long lunch each day. Parents can select "Lunch Release" in registration to allow their youth to leave the program group during the lunch period to purchase food.

Activities: In our programs we will have a variety of activities including engineering building challenges, coding projects, experiments, creative design projects, and more.

Lunch Program:

• UBC Vancouver: the lunch program is an optional purchase when registering for your programs. Participants receive a main course, side, and drink for their lunch each day. The lunch program costs are for each day of the camp week.
• South Surrey: the lunch program is included in your registration, new for 2026! Participants receive a main course and side for their lunch each day.
