  • Self-regulation: Tutoring helps learners practice focus, organization, and persistence. By managing their attention, following instructions, and completing tasks independently, students strengthen executive functioning skills that support academic success and lifelong learning.
  • Responsibility: Tutoring encourages learners to take ownership of their learning. They develop awareness of the connection between effort and outcomes, learn to follow through on assignments, and build accountability—essential for confidence and long-term growth.
