Venture Lab focuses on entrepreneurship with integrated leadership development. The program equips participants with entrepreneurial skills while fostering business-relevant leadership capabilities, such as public speaking, collaboration, and hands-on problem-solving.

Key Focus Areas

  • Design thinking and creative problem-solving

  • Hands-on practice with iterative project development to turn ideas into actionable outcomes
  • Developing strategies for overcoming common entrepreneurial obstacles, such as resource constraints or team misalignment
  • Exploring real-world case studies of successful young entrepreneurs to draw inspiration and practical insights

Program Features

Interactive Workshops: Real-world case studies of successful entrepreneurs and role-playing exercises that simulate leadership challenges

Mentorship & Pitch Coaching: Guest speakers from a network of industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs, along with dedicated coaching in persuasion and presentation skills to elevate stage presence.

Experiential Learning:  Hands-on activities designed to build trust and adaptability. Participants will also visit a Toronto startup incubator to explore proven business models and network with a vibrant community of innovators.

Final Showcase: A culminating professional-style Pitch Showcase where teams present their MVP and venture story to an audience of peers, mentors, and parents.

Program Outcomes

Upon finishing the program, participants will earn a certificate of completion and a digital badge to include on their LinkedIn profile showcasing their elevated leadership skills and potential.



Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Curiosity: Venture Lab sparks curiosity by challenging students to identify real-world problems and explore how startups solve them. Through design thinking, incubator visits, and mentorship, participants actively investigate the world around them to uncover meaningful entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Resilience: Entrepreneurship requires bouncing back. Students pitch their initial ideas to mentors, receive real-world feedback, and must adapt their business models. By navigating simulated obstacles like resource constraints, they learn to view setbacks as essential steps to a successful launch.
