Here's what makes Rotherglen Summer Camp stand out
With our state of the art facilities, we are excited to provide a variety of opportunities during the summer. In our Summer Camp students can explore science and technology, visual and performing arts, cooking and a variety of sports.Our Summer Academy offers students the opportunity to take a leadership course, or sharpen their skills in preparation for the school year ahead.

We focus our efforts on the development of 21st Century Skills within the framework of the camp curriculums we deliver, teaching our campers to be problem solvers, critical thinkers, strong communicators and collaborators. Our programming combines academics, arts, athletics, leadership and character building programs to address all aspects of our campers' growth and development. True to our vision of Engaged Minds, Inspired Hearts and Purposeful Lives, we are committed to helping our campers to be meaningful contributors to their global community.

The Our Kids review of Rotherglen Summer Camp

Rotherglen School was founded in 1979 by Marie Laningan at the Erin Mills campus. The school has grown in the intervening years to include four locations, all of which share the same approach, including the Oakville location which hosts the camps. While aesthetics don’t mean everything, they nevertheless do mean something, and the school is physically beautiful, with dedicated, consistent, absolutely up-to-date learning and activity spaces. The camp programs make use of the school’s extensive resources and range considerably from performing arts, to cooking, to the more traditional day-camp offerings. Sessions are purposefully kept small, which is rightly a draw.

Meet the Staff

Director's Message

Learning is a never ending journey of discovery, adventure and skill building. Rotherglen School is a place where students engage in meaningful and exciting educational experiences throughout the year. With our state of the art facilities and expansive grounds, we are excited to provide a variety of intentionally designed opportunities during the summer months. In our Summer Camp students can explore science and technology, visual and performing arts, cooking and a variety of sports. Our Summer Academy offers students the opportunity to complete a high school credit, take a leadership course, or sharpen their mathematics and/or language skills in preparation for the school year ahead. The diversity of our offerings provide our campers with innovative and fun-filled weeks of learning during the summer, in a safe, supportive and dynamic environment.

Staff and Counsellors

Our staff are enthusiastic, responsible, outgoing, confident and reliable university students, teacher candidates and qualified Montessori and OCT teachers. After extensive policy training, First Aid and Anaphylaxis certification, our counsellors are ready to coordinate, conduct, and supervise all recreational activities for campers throughout the summer. They are responsible for creating a safe, fun, and rewarding environment for our campers, and to ensure at all times the well-being of our campers.
