This course extends a student’s experience with functions and is often a university admissions requirement.

This course introduces the mathematical concept of the function by extending a student’s experiences with linear and quadratic relations. 

Participants will:

Investigate properties of discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions

Represent functions numerically, algebraically and graphically

Solve problems involving applications of functions

Investigate inverse functions

Develop skills in determining equivalent algebraic expressions

Participants reason mathematically and communicate their thinking as they solve multi-step problems

Prerequisite: Principles of Mathematics, Grade 10, Academic

Dates: July 26th to August 20th

Times: Monday to Friday, online hours may vary
