Junior Literacy Programme

LITERACY CAMP  (JUNIOR: AGES 6-7)

Our Summer Literacy Camp is an engaging, multi-sensory program offered in partnership with Empower Communications that is designed to enhance foundational reading and writing skills through approaches based on the science of reading.  

Program Highlights: 

• Multi-sensory Based Learning: We include many different hands-on activities that are designed to support learning and improve literacy development. 
• Movement-Based Learning: Interactive and active teaching methods for better retention and engagement. 
• Structured Science of Reading Approach: We use evidence-based methods that target core reading and writing skills. 
• Small Class Sizes: Limited to 12 students for personalized attention and effective learning. 

Additional Information: 

• The program is run by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist 
• Includes a summary with future recommendations at the end of the program
• Extended health care benefit plans may cover a portion of the cost under Speech Language Pathology services. Receipts can be issued at the end of camp for reimbursement. 
• Pre-Requisites: Child must have strong phonics skills (know letter names and sounds) and starting to decode/read simple words.

• Due to increased allergy and dietary restrictions, we are unable to accommodate snacks. Campers are encouraged to bring their own peanut-free snacks.

Daily Schedule & Costs

Day Programmes run from 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. each day, with optional before care from (7:30am to 8:30am) and after care (from 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m.). The cost of our Day Programme offerings per week is $450, unless otherwise noted. Credit card payment is required to complete registration.
