Children learn how to take control, in horseback riding lessons. As they navigate various trails and terrain, students learn basic horse riding techniques including mounting, directing, and commands. These help them control their horse and gain confidence. Other skills, such as tack care and identification help children become comfortable with all aspects of riding.
Young equestrians find peace in the beauty and serenity of surrounding nature. Some programs are available to children as young as 2 years old, though, of course, these young pupils must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Older riders, typically 10 years old and up, control their horses individually whilst following instructors for directions and cues.
Horseback riding lessons are purchasable per lesson, and costs vary depending on the duration of each session. On average, the standard price for a lesson is between $20-$70 per person. Multidisciplinary programs offering horseback activities focus on wellness activities such as yoga and arts and crafts.
