Connect with the Ancestors on this Cultural snowshoe walk.  Awaken and Experience how our Five senses are heightened when we walk at night. Hear. See. Smell. Feel. Taste. We will share Indigenous stories that will increase your knowledge of Mother Earth. Let the earth energy renew your spirit as you gaze up and stand in awe of the Power of the Star People. Walk into the forest and as dark surrounds us we stop in the magic clearing and watch the stars appear! Drink in the silence and be awed at the brilliance of the night sky. We snowshoe back out in the darkness but everyone is wearing a headlamp so it is a unique experience to travel at night!

Includes: Trail Guide, snowshoes, poles, headlamp, a marvelous trek, storytelling, hot chocolate with Bannock by the campfire at the end of the adventure.

  • Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm
  • Laugh, Play and Renew your Spirit

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Curiosity: Snowshoes are a unique way to travel and its so interesting to see how we can stay on the surface of deep snow and travel with ease. The night sky has a wealth of knowledge to share with us if we just take the time to stop, look and wonder!
  • Physicality: Being active is being healthy and alert. Snowshoeing requires a moderate fitness level and is a good workout for the whole body. It requires coordination, balance and awareness as we traverse the different trails in the fields and forests. Learn Wildland Wisdom on this trek!
