We know kids are bursting with energy after a long school day. That’s why Run Wild After School transforms weekday afternoons into outdoor adventures! Each week, children step away from screens and structured classrooms to explore Toronto’s forests, play high-energy nature games, and learn outdoor skills like shelter-building and safe fire-making.

Our experienced mentors inspire kids to guide their own adventures, fostering confidence, independence, and lasting friendships. Whether they’re tracking animal signs, crafting from natural materials, or simply laughing with new friends, participants build resilience, physical health, and a deep connection to nature.

Run Wild is part of Pine’s Outdoor School, where nature is the classroom and the ultimate teacher. Programs run 100% outdoors, rain or shine, encouraging curiosity, creativity, resilience and a deep love of nature. Children leave feeling energized, grounded, and excited to learn. Head over to pineproject.org for more information.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Curiosity: We nurture curiosity by encouraging kids to explore the forest, observe wildlife, and ask questions about the natural world. Our mentors guide children to follow their interests, sparking wonder and a life-long love of learning.
  • Resilience: Run Wild helps kids build resilience by embracing outdoor adventures in all weather, tackling challenges like shelter-building, and learning to adapt and problem-solve in nature—all while feeling safe and supported.
