We know that Teens need the freedom to test their limits and explore their sense of self. In our Teens Wilderness Adventure Program, we mix active instruction with experiential learning to inspire teens to challenge themselves with new wilderness skills. By unplugging and learning to live with the land, teens build resilience, confidence and leadership.

We’ll be adventuring outside the city for full weekends, including, camping, transportation and food.

Program content highlights:

  • Wilderness travel theory
  • Navigation and map reading
  • Camp setup and care
  • Wildlife tracking
  • Sustainable plant harvesting
  • Wild edibles foraging and preparation
  • Fire by friction
  • Identifying local hazards
  • Shelter building
  • Sensory Awareness
  • Ancient tools such as bows, arrows, stone/bone tools and more
  • Bird Language

This is a weekend-based program with four weekend sessions occurring on the following dates. Locations and times may vary slightly to accommodate group needs and interests. Pricing includes all four weekends and project supplies. Transportation and food will be provided.

Wkd 1: October 21 - 22: Friday at 2pm - Sunday at 5pm

Wkd 2: January 20 - 21: Friday at 2pm - Sunday at 5pm

Wkd 3: April 27 - 28: Friday at 2pm - Sunday at 5pm

Wkd 4: May 25 - 26: Friday at 2pm - Sunday at 5pm



Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Courage: Teens get the chance to test their limits and explore their sense of self by spending a weekend practicing wilderness skills throughout the changing seasons.
  • Resilience: At Pine, we see challenges as opportunities for growth and natural consequences as moments of learning.
