TAC Aquatics Water Safety Program is split into two distinct sections a safety education followed by an aquatics education. The safety portion of the class offers age-appropriate, real-world training for situations that may require a child to act in response to challenges. This course aims to develop each child's capacity to stay safe whether that be in a community, on their own, or in groups. The safety portion of the course covers topics such as accessing help, like calling 911 and learning to recognize when help is needed. We will cover basic first aid skills, like bandaging minor wounds like cuts and scrapes, how to provide care for someone who is choking, epi pen delivery, and much more. The safety portion will also educate each child on how to prepare for, and recognize challenging situations such as inclement weather, strangers, and who in the community they can go to for help. The aquatics education focuses on each child's swimming ability and works to educate and enhance their current swimming technique. This is done through knowledgeable instructors who will guide each swimmer through the necessary swimming progression.
No Lessons on: Feb 16th & Mar 22nd.
