This is a 6-week prevention program that uses storytelling and interactive activities to cover substance use, addiction, peer pressure, and decision-making, at an age-appropriate level. Children will participate in fun activities and discussions that help them to understand addiction and how they are not at fault.  Meanwhile, their parents or caring adults participate in a parents group where they can share and discuss their issues and concerns. 


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Resilience: Children living in families affected by addiction learn that the issues in their family are not their fault. They develop healthy coping and preventative skills to help manage the impacts of a loved ones substance use.
  • Self-regulation: Children learn to manage their emotions and develop positive social and behavioural skills.
