Python camps teach children all fundamental coding skills through the high-level programming language, Python. With basic training, students write simple codes for games, animations, and small machines.Upper level camps require previous coding experience before enrollment. In some cases, children may be required to complete an entrance test in order to be accepted into a camp teaching more advanced Python skills.
Though there is an emphasis on Python coding training, some camps include training in other popular programming languages like Java or Arduino. Skills learned in Python camps include understanding basic logical flow, variables, and syntax. These all make learning more advanced programming languages like PHP much easier. Over time, children create a personal Python library, which stores reusable blocks of code to make programming more efficient.
Age is no restriction for these camps, as children as young as 7 years old are welcome to camp. Python camps inspire the next generation of web developers, data scientists, and engineers. Prices for these camps start at $30 per session. For full semesters, Python camps cost up to $750.
About advanced Python camps
Advanced Python camps introduce children to real-life applications of programming. Camps may focus on application development and difficult coding challenges. Through creating video games, apps, and websites, children deepen their understanding of programming and see it in practice. As the leading programming language used amongst professional developers, Python training gives kids experience for future university applications, internships, and career paths
These Python coding camps also give kids creative and logical problem-solving skills. Assigned design activities and challenges, teen programmers deepen their logical thinking in order to make the code work. Programs like these are often collaborative as well, to encourage team building and flexibility amongst campers.
Python camps prepare students for their futures as innovative professional developers. Some things children may find in their camp includes:
