A passover camp takes place during the Jewish holiday of passover or “pesach” (in Hebrew), when many Jewish kids won’t be in school. This is an especially appealing option for families with children in Jewish day schools.
Many of these camps run for the full eight days of passover (usually excluding weekends). Many also offer full and half-day programs, and allow you to register your child for specific days of the week. While some offer special kosher for passover food, for most you’ll need to pack meals and snacks for your child (you should contact camps directly to learn more about this).
Passover camps offer lots of different types of programs. This includes sports, arts, and educational programs. For instance, passover or pesach camps offer such activities as swimming, taekwondo, gymnastics, robotics, technology, dance, and drama. Some of these camps specialize in one activity, while others offer a variety of activities to choose from.
