The Our Kids review of Allegro Academy of Music

Developing and nurturing each student’s innate musicality is what makes Allegro Academy of Music different from so many other music schools. The talented and passionate Ms. Ayshan provides a positive and nurturing environment for her students, getting them to trust her first and making sure they have fun. All of the best leaders learn from their students and as a teacher, Ayshan gets joy and energy from her students and believes they’ve taught her to be a better person. That’s saying something. All of the teachers are active performers, with ARCT diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music plus Bachelor of Music degrees. The Allegro Academy’s speciality is music for young children (MYC), and young prodigies can imagine their future as musicians here as early as age three, but there’s no age limit on who can take classes. It’s encouraging that it can be a family affair. While not succeeding isn’t really an option at the Allegro Academy (many students are award-winning), the first lesson she teaches is to get over the fear of failure. Students are empowered to believe that nothing can stop them and that learning to play music depends on their determination and perseverance.
