Sign up for five days of patterns, problems, pi(e) and perambulations! We will take our math explorations outside, play games to internalize basic facts, go on scavenger hunts, and learn how to trick our parents! If you want to have heaps of fun while sharpening your math skills before the start of school, this half-day camp is for you.

Camp instructor Shannon Mercer-Lee has taught math for 20 years from Grades 4 - 9 and completed numerous Jo Boaler (youcubed.org) courses. She focuses on helping people develop and strengthen a growth mindset and believes every person can 'do' math. Less traditional, kinaesthetic approaches to learning are key, as is helping people uncover connections among the various strands of math. Making math 'real' helps people recognize that math is integral to our everyday lives.
