The STS Outdoor Education Day Camp allows children to explore STS’s 220-acre campus by enjoying hiking on the trails, canoeing/kayaking on the pond, archery, navigating orienteering courses, and trying out the indoor climbing wall. The final day will have participants participating in a sampler of all the activities to demonstrate their progress.
This summer day camp is a great way to get an introduction to several outdoor recreation activities, including canoeing, archery, indoor rock climbing, navigation with map and compass, and hiking the trails on the STS campus. Woven throughout all of these activities will be safety management strategies and practices. Aside from learning new skills and being active, this camp will introduce participants to peers interested in exploring new opportunities outdoors. Activities will be instructed and supervised by STS outdoor education program professionals. A concerted effort is made to help participants develop greater independence and interdependence in meeting personal needs, living and working as part of a group, caring for themselves in the outdoor environment and learning various outdoor skills over the week.

Aftercare available for campers ages 4-11 years for a fee.
