Class Description – Junior Competitive (Grades 4–6)

Milton – Thursdays at 5:00 PM

Our award-winning Junior Competitive Program is designed to help students in Grades 4 to 6 build confidence, improve communication, and develop leadership through the power of public speaking.

In this engaging and skill-focused course, students learn:

Speech writing and delivery
Impromptu speaking and structured debate
Conversation skills and persuasive storytelling
Techniques to reduce nervousness and speak with clarity

Each student receives personalized coaching, participates in peer learning, and has the opportunity to compete in local contests. Through interactive lessons and guided practice, students grow their ability to think on their feet, lead discussions, and present with confidence.

This enriching educational experience includes all materials, evaluations, and competition preparation, empowering students to become clear, courageous communicators—on stage and beyond.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Courage: Students in Grades 4–6 build courage by stepping up to speak, share ideas, and debate in front of others. They learn to manage nerves, take risks, and express themselves clearly—gaining the confidence to lead, even when it’s challenging.
Self-regulation: Public speaking teaches students in Grades 4–6 to manage nerves, organize thoughts, and stay focused under pressure. They develop discipline, control their emotions, and learn to present with clarity—building strong self-regulation skills that support success.
