(5) Overall experience

As the Principal of Stand Up and Speak, I’ve seen how our program helps students grow in confidence, communication, and leadership. What makes it truly special is witnessing each student’s transformation, watching them overcome fear, discover their voice, and become part of a caring, supportive community where every individual feels seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are and their growth as speakers.

(5) Program quality and activities

At Stand Up and Speak, I’ve found every activity meaningful, but what stands out most is how each program, Competitive, Community, and Confidence Builder, brings its own unique value. The Competitive Program pushes students to refine their skills and embrace challenge, the Community Program builds teamwork and connection, and the Confidence Builder helps every participant discover their inner voice and personal growth.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

At Stand Up and Speak, making friends comes naturally because everyone shares the same goal: to grow and support one another. Our programs create a welcoming, inclusive space where every voice matters. One of my favourite bonding moments is watching students cheer each other on during presentations and contests. The genuine encouragement and pride they show for one another is truly inspiring

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

At Stand Up and Speak, our instructors and counsellors are the heart of what we do. They’re approachable, kind, and genuinely care about every student’s growth. I’ve seen our team go above and beyond to make students feel comfortable and confident. Each staff member brings their own warmth and passion, and together they make the experience truly unforgettable.

(5) Advice and tips

My advice to first-time participants at Stand Up and Speak is simple: just be yourself and have fun with it! Everyone starts somewhere, and this is the perfect place to learn, grow, and try new things in a supportive space. Don’t worry about being perfect; focus on expressing yourself and enjoying the journey.
