Thank you for your interest in Stand Up and Speak. They will be in touch with you shortly.
Stand Up and Speak is a fantastic program, and our son Arjun has had a great experience. He started off 3 years ago as a hesitant speaker and now thoroughly enjoys and excels at public speaking, thanks to Stand Up and Speak. Ms. Natty and Mrs. Jakel are great teachers and know how to engage, inspire, and enable their students to be the best they can be. The program is well structured and enables students to develop holistic public speaking skills with a focus on both verbal communication and body language. There are lots of fun contests throughout the year to help students develop multiple presentation styles from engaging business pitches to debates. The environment of the class and the entire program is very supportive and enables students to become more confident, better communicators, and I know in our son’s case, also makes him happy to see his own growth journey. Thank you, Stand up and Speak!
We chose it to help build our son’s public speaking skills, knowing how important they are from our own life experience. We tried a couple of different programs and liked Stand Up and Speak most for the quality of the teachers, the structure, and the class environment. We absolutely believe it’s worth the investment in time and money.
Public speaking is a priority, and we were able to figure out a day of the week and time that works with his schedule and Stand Up and Speak. Practice and simple constructs to deliver an effective speech has helped him consistently improve his public speaking. Great quality teachers like Ms. Natty, lots of effort in organizing events. Consistent, holistic, and encouraging feedback.
Yes, it's a very supportive environment. Also, like-minded kids (and families) enroll who believe in the importance of public speaking . He has made several friends as he has participated and partnered with his classmates. He also knows and admires some of the senior class kids, as kids continue to progress with age. No bullying at all, good behavior is modeled by all stakeholders. The owners, as well as the principal Ms. Natty, are very professional and good teachers, which drives the positive culture.
Key skills that have been enhanced: Public speaking, listening, learning agility, collaboration, and confidence. These are a result of coaching, practice, being challenged, being supported, and seeing the fruits of their labor through self-appraisal and winning competitions. Yes, they were challenged and pushed out of their comfort zone through a variety of exercises ranging from impromptu speeches to prepared speeches, debates, and team participation.
The organization is well managed. They care about kids' development and are safety-focused, knowing each kid by their name, and providing individualized feedback. Communication is through email and WhatsApp. They send videos after each class, which keeps the parents highly aware and engaged. We haven’t had any conflicts. The staff and management team are very responsive.
Great program, just consider it, and I know your child will enjoy it. Do compare vs. other options and do your homework, I am confident Stand Up and Speak will do very well when compared to other programs. Stand Up and Speak has been a great addition to our son’s routine, and we can see his progress; more importantly, he can see it himself, and he enjoys going to class and giving his best.
