The Primer is an ideal pre-season training program. Programs are offered for players of all ability levels.. For younger players, the Primer is an excellent introduction to Power Soccer and a way of building on our previous indoor training. Whatever the experience level of the player, this program will allow her/him to benefit from the Power Soccer coaching methodology. The Primer Program runs on Saturday mornings from mid May to the end of June and continouts in to August as well. The program also runs Sundays May and June only. Sessions are to 60 minutes in duration. Each session focuses on a particular skill/s and will also include game play. There is a 50/50 mix of skill development and game play. Groups are offered for various ability levels. The program takes place outdoors, on grass.

U6 (4-5 Year Olds): A fun and rewarding skills program for children ages 4 and 5. Soccer skills training is built into a curriculum that teaches technical ability, agility and balance. Children are introduced to soccer in a fun and rewarding manner which provides recognition for the young player. The session is a combination of skill learning and games. There is lots of ball contact for each player through ball movement practice, dodge games and fun ball manoeuvring exercises. Children are taught the basics of the game.

U8(6-7 Year Olds): This program is geared to improve the development of 6-7 year olds. Children are instructed in core soccer skills and good soccer habits through age appropriate skill exercises and games. The program emphasizes coordination and movement in soccer, presented in skill exercises and small sided soccer games designed to make a positive impact on the development of the young player. Players are introduced to competition in a fun way and achieve success through skill training as well as game play.

8 Years Old and Up: The skill development program is designed for players to receive specific coaching to develop and refine their skills. The purpose of the program is to maximize the individual's soccer potential, while recognizing that the players come from different soccer backgrounds and will vary in technique and ability. Coaches will evaluate the players consistently from the first session and will challenge players by grouping them with players of similar abilities. Technique training of all the core soccer skills is emphasized. All Power Soccer programs use creative and challenging games to improve ball control, passing, dribbling, defending and shooting. The coach works on having the player improve all the fundamental ball skills while introducing tactical concepts of the game such as of space, support, movement off the ball and transition. 

Our goalkeeper training programs are run by Power Soccer’s top tier goalkeeper coaches. This program is designed for goalkeepers to receive specific coaching to develop and refine their skills. The purpose of this program is to maximize the potential of each youth goalkeeper. Our goalkeeper coaches will focus on shot stopping, reactions saves, footwork agility, handling techniques, positioning, distribution and diving.
