The artistic business of painting and illustration is explored through a variety of mediums, with ink as the special guest. Ink has its own rules. Explore different forms of ink through free-form experiments and more disciplined techniques, discovering how ink flows, spreads, layers, prints and interacts with watercolour and other materials. Learn to create images, patterns, and illustrations while exploring colour, texture, shape and form, and mix and layer to create dimension in your imaginative works. Best of all, have fun and grow as an artist with plenty of support and guidance from a professional artist and caring instructor, Kathryn Boyd. All materials are included.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: As an arts organization, NPCC provides a space where creative curiosity is encouraged and participants get to experience the benefits of trying new ideas and techniques in the artwork they create.
  • Interpersonal skills: Through shared creative experiences, students learn to express their ideas, listen to others, and provide constructive feedback. Collaborative projects promote teamwork, encouraging students to work together.
