The Mandolin is related to the lute and has a similar range as a fiddle, making it an ideal instrument for Country, Bluegrass, and Classical music. Bill Monroe, Chris Thile, Jethro Burns, Yank Rachell, David Grisman, Mike Marshall, Dave Apollon, and Caterina Lichtenberg are some of the most influential mandolin players of all time. Neighbour Note offers fun in-home or in-studio mandolin lessons throughout Toronto.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Tolerance: Students will build hand strength as they develop their skills playing the mandolin. Learning the mandolin takes patience.
  • Creativity: Students will learn how to improvise and jam as they learn to play the mandolin. They can even create their own melodies!
