The harp is one of the oldest instruments in existence. This ancient instrument has a rich history spanning approximately 5000 years. Harps can be incredibly ornate and many can be viewed as works of art.

Loreena McKennitt, Jon Anderson, Carlos Salzedo, and Joanna Newsom are just some of the renowned harpists that have exemplified what the harp can achieve musically. Neighbour Note offers professional harp lessons in the comfort of your Toronto home or at one of our teacher's studios. Our harp teacher Dr. Angela Schwarzkopf is the president of the Toronto Chapter of the American Harp Society.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Students can learn to create their own melodies as they improvise on this beautiful instrument.
  • Curiosity: The harp is one of the most beautiful sounding instruments so students can really love to learn to play this instrument.
