New for 2024! Campers will embark on a thrilling outdoor experience with our Camping Skills program, where young enthusiasts dive into the exciting world of camping skills, nature exploration and camaraderie. This immersive adventure is designed to equip campers with essential outdoor skills while fostering a love for nature and teamwork. In this program, campers will learn the ABC’s of camping, from setting up a tent, to safely building a campfire. Our specialist staff will guide campers through hands-on workshops covering the essential outdoor skills, ensuring everyone is well-prepared for a night under the stars. 

Program Highlights:

  • Cooking in the wild: Campers will learn to safely cook over a campfire to create a range of tasty treats!
  • Nature Scavenger Hunt: Campers will immerse themselves in the natural wonders around camp and participate in a nature scavenger hunt to identify local flora and fauna, while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship.
  • Navigational Adventures: From compass basics to orienteering challenges, campers will practice their navigational skills, ensuring that they can confidently explore the wilderness.
  • Survival Skills workshop: Campers will delve into the basics of survival in the wild and discover essential survival techniques, including shelter building. These skills are sure to boost confidence while also instilling a deeper connection to the natural environment.
  • Campfire Tales and Stargazing: As the sun sets, campers will gather around the campfire for storytelling and stargazing. They will share tales, legends and enjoy the magic of night sky filled with twinkling stars.
  • Overnight Camping experience: Campers will have the opportunity to put their newfound skills to the test with a one-night (Thursday) sleepover under the stars. Campers will experience the thrill of sleeping in tents, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Adult supervision ensures a safe and memorable night of camping camaraderie.

Our Camping Skills program promises a memorable blend of learning, exploration, and the joy of outdoor living. Join us for an unforgettable journey where friendships are forges, skills are honed, and the great outdoors becomes the ultimate classroom. Get ready for an adventure packed overnight experience that sparks a lifelong love for camping and the wonders of the wilderness. 

**  Thursday afternoon snack, Thursday dinner, Thursday campfire treat, Friday breakfast will be provided.



Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Independence: This program teaching campers the skills they need to motivate them to continue to peruse their interests independently. They will learn basic survival and outdoor living skills.
  • Courage: Campers will have the opportunity to experience an overnight under the stars. This program allows campers to test their courage while learning how to tent camp and cook in the wilderness!
