Since 1994 ! GBTC's experienced staff will introduce your kids to stage performance and guide them toward self-expression.

Great Big Theatre Company's innovative online Drama Classes offer a variety of fun, engaging and interactive activities for young people.  GBTC offers classes for ages 6-8, 9-11 and 12-14. . GBTC brings many years of experience with drama for kids to the development of this virtual program in the Zoom environment.

Classes are offered on weekdays and Saturdays: 60 minutes weekly for ages 6 to 8, 90 minutes weekly for ages 9-11 and 12-14.
Our trained and experienced coaches will share movement games, storytelling,  play writing, music, poems and fun raps. Campers will also create online visual art projects related to their dramatic scenes. The classes will be an energized experience, allowing campers to interact and make friends online.
During our 'break-out room' periods, students will meet in small groups to create their own dramatic improvisations and engage in theatre games; they will then be able to share their work with the larger group. At the end of the 13-week session, they will be able to share a performance with parents and friends.

Character Development:

  • Interpersonal skills: Theatre combines the creative ideas and abilities of its participants. This cooperative process includes discussing, negotiating, rehearsing, and performing.
  • Creativity: Making creative choices, thinking of new ideas, and interpreting familiar material in new ways are essential to drama. Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
