The Junior Campers’ day is divided into periods focused on different hands-on projects. Variety and engagement are key: our campers learn by doing new things, getting creative with new ideas. All sessions of Junior Camp take place at Kells Academy, 2290 Boul. Cavendish.

For many campers, this is their first time coming to camp, so our Junior Activity Leaders are particularly attuned to the needs of our little ones. All of our groups are led by a qualified teachers (some have decades of experience teaching kindergarteners!) with help from our highly trained counsellors. Most of our counsellors are university students in Education, and they assist the teachers who lead our activities. Combined, they average a 4-to-1 ratio of learners-to-supervisors!

Throughout each day, campers do a lot of activities that keep them moving while they are learning and having fun. We also go outside daily for adventures in nearby parks and splashpads, to help develop their bodies as well as their minds. Here's a sample day from 2025!

9:30-10:15 Music
10:15-10:30: Recess
10:30-11:15: Technology
11:15-12:00: Phys Ed
12:00-12:30: Lunch
12:30-1:30: Park/ Splash Pad
1:30-2:15: Arts
2:15-2:30: Recess
2:30-3:30: Math/Language
3:30-4:00 Pick-up
