The extension of COOKSMART Kids where stove and oven safety are taught and used to make tasty meals and snacks. Some kitchen experience or COOKSMART Kids program preferred.

In this LIVE Interactive Online Cooking class for 55 mins your child will be engaged in a unique creative meal prep activity to build their kitchen confidence. All online classes are offered via Zoom at 5:15pm every Tuesday. Register for one class or every week!

Spring CLASSES:

Register for the all of Spring to make scheduling easy and save money!

Parents are required to supervise and support their child(ren) during all online classes. All the recipes will use common ingredients, with lots of substitutions possible to accommodate what is available. An email with the zoom link and ingredients will be sent out prior to the class.

COOKSMART recipes are vegetarian but allow for all diets, including standard diet, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free and halal.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Independence: In this program students are encouraged to learn how to manage the stove and oven safely by themselves. Adult supervision becomes less necessary as they build their confidence and skill.
Responsibility: Being allowed to cook is a privilege, which requires good cleaning up as well as creating tasty food that the family will enjoy. That's a responsibility the kids learn to manage very successfully, given the opportunity to show off their skills.
