Learning in nature can be wondrous and awe-inspiring. At Claireville Conservation Area, kids can discover all that there is to offer in their wetlands, valleys, rivers, and more. They’ve got an amazing education centre, originally built by the Toronto District School Board, which is a homebase for all of the goings-on at the conversation area. The place is ripe for much hands-on exploration and immersive activities. Touching, seeing, hearing, smelling, and maybe even tasting are all ways to learn about the natural world here. There’s lots of room to play and grow at Claireville, so many camps and school groups often exist at the same time. Kids learn about the environment, the living beings in it, and how to protect both. It isn’t all educational though, kids have a lot of fun here. The staff are held to very high standards with rigorous training and they absolutely love kids. With fun names like Acorn, kids don’t forget their counselors.
Happy Camper
