Cherry Beach Soccer Club’s U9–U10 Rep Soccer Camp is designed for players who are already participating in organized or representative soccer and want to further develop their skills in a structured and competitive training environment. This camp is open to players aged 9–10 (2017 boys – U9B players only, and 2016 boys and girls) who are looking to improve their technical ability, game awareness, and confidence on the ball.

Players will take part in daily training sessions led by experienced coaches, many of whom hold Canadian Soccer National B or C Licenses and UEFA coaching certifications. Training sessions focus on technical skill development, tactical awareness, decision-making, and game understanding through a variety of exercises and competitive activities.

Throughout the week, players will work on key aspects of the modern game including dribbling, passing combinations, receiving, finishing, movement off the ball, and defending in small group situations. Small-sided games and match play will allow players to apply these skills in realistic game environments while encouraging creativity, confidence, and teamwork.

This camp takes place July 6–10 at St. Patrick’s Catholic School Turf Field. A typical camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with optional extended care available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Each day includes technical training, skill challenges, tactical games, and match play designed to keep players engaged and learning throughout the day.

Players are grouped by age and ability, allowing coaches to provide an appropriate level of challenge and support for each athlete. The camp environment promotes hard work, positive competition, and respect for teammates and coaches, helping players continue their development during the summer months.

By the end of the week, players leave with improved technical skills, greater confidence in game situations, and a stronger understanding of team play, helping them reinforce and elevate their skills for the remainder of the season.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Courage: Players are encouraged to take on new skills, participate in competitive match situations, and make decisions on the ball. Coaches create a supportive environment where players feel confident taking risks and expressing themselves, building courage and self-belief.
  • Interpersonal skills: hrough small-sided games, match play, and team-based drills, players learn to communicate, cooperate, and support teammates. The camp emphasizes teamwork, respect, and positive interaction, helping players strengthen social confidence and collaboration skills
