CILTs in their second year (CILT 2s), have the opportunity to assist as leaders in various areas of camp. They are to participate in everything, set a good example for other campers, and participate in teaching skills. They will also build on the foundation of what they learned in the CILT 1 program.

Each CILT 2 will choose a “CILT Track”. The Program Track focuses on leadership in areas such as waterfront or skill instruction. The Counsellor Track focuses on the jobs of the Cabin Leader, Divisional Director, and Summer Director. The Service Track focuses on the jobs of kitchen staff, maintenance, and health care.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Religious faith: Campers spend time each day in personal, small group and large group devotions. As CILTs, campers are taught more ways to share their faith.
  • Interpersonal skills: As a leadership program, campers are taught the many skills that go into making a well rounded leader. Campers learn how to be a counsellor to younger campers, how to interact with fellow staff, and how to respond and listen to their leadership.
