Step-up Leadership Grade 9 - 11

Step-up Leadership is designed for leaders who have previously participated in a Glebe Leadership program. This three-week session will take the skills learned from previous sessions and put them to work in the real world. 

The dates listed in the Our Kids format are a little confusing so please read this next section carefully. All participants will attend July 13 - 17 and August 4 - 7 . Each leader will complete a volunteer placement week in a GNAG camp. These one-week placements will be scheduled either July 20 - 24 OR July 27 - July 31. We organize the placement – and you do the work! Enthusiasm and dedication are a must in this program, designed to turn you into a camp coun- selor! This session will make your resume stand out.The participant MUST complete a placement week to graduate and it must take place in one of those two weeks.

But don’t worry – in typical Glebe Leadership fashion, it’s not ALL about the work! There will be some killer out-trips and exciting new challenges and games too! Participants are required to demonstrate certain skills in order to successfully complete this program, and are re- quired to attend all 3-weeks of the program. Successful participants will be given credit towards their 40-hour community service requirement. Please note, there is no program Monday, August 3 - Civic holiday. Coordinator: Erica Nowlan (Recommended for participants entering Grade 9 - 11.) Prerequisites: Minimum - completed one session GL or instructor’s permission. Camp takes place at St Matthew's Church, a couple of blocks from our main building.
