IB Prep Workshop: Set Up for Success

This week-long, in-person IB Diploma Programme Preparation Workshop is designed for current Grade 9 and 10 students who are thinking of starting the Diploma Programme in 2026 or 2027.

This immersive experience introduces students to the core elements of the IB, blending interactive learning with practical study and life skills.

Each day features a focused theme, beginning with an introduction to the IB philosophy, learner profile, and effective time management strategies. Students will develop academic writing and research skills, learn citation and source use, and discuss responsible use of technology, including AI. The workshop also includes an introduction to Theory of Knowledge, debates on knowledge questions, and connections between IB subjects. Extended Essay, Internal Assessment, and exam success strategies are explored, along with wellness, stress management, and planning for Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) projects.

Key features include group challenges, collaborative projects, and real-world inquiry, all designed to build student engagement and essential skills. Students will leave the workshop with increased readiness and confidence, a supportive peer community, and strategies for both academic and personal growth. Led by an experienced IB teacher, this distinctive program empowers students for success in the IB DP.
