Academic Camp Canada, as the name suggests, is an academic camp: kids attend to build facility with various aspects of the school curricula. That said, the experience goes well beyond the purely tutorial. Campers arrive from across Canada and around the world to one of the most inspiring academic environments in the country: Rothesay Netherwood School. This school's campus is somewhat of a jaw-dropper. It dates to 1874 when the brilliantly named Ezekiel Stone Wiggins founded Thompson's School, a coed day school. The school remains true to a tradition of academic excellence, and the campus is rich with reminders of its long history. It’s also the alma mater of John Peters Humphrey, primary author of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. When campers arrive at the camp, they join a community of academically-oriented peers, in a setting that celebrates the length and breadth of what education can offer. The administration and staff are top-notch, with comprehensive support provided for campers.

We have been a pioneer in offering academic camps since our inception in the UK in 2008. In the future world of technology and artificial intelligence (AI), students need human skills that are not easily replicated by machines, such as creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, ethical awareness, emotional self-regulation, teamwork, and critical thinking - We help develop these essential skills for their future studies in a global community that is learner-centred.
For all students, whether they are a local or they travel to New Brunswick, it is an amazing adventure - learning and socialising with people from all over the world. Whether English is students' first language or not, they will significantly improve their English proficiency as an international language.
In 2017 we launched ACC Academic Camp Canda, as Canada was fast becoming the top location in the world for study abroad. We love the friendly Canadian welcome and our academic camps in Canada provide a very special destination providing an amazing opportunity for students who join us.
What is important to me as the CEO is to offer the following:
In the UK we are BAC accreditated and in our last inspection report in 2022 the inspectors gave us no action points or recommendations. We are very proud of this and we bring these values and experience to our Canadian academic camps.

Fantastic accreditation report
During the summer of 2022, in between trips, teaching, and awarding leadership certificates, we had our British Accreditation inspection

Very beautiful experience. A great combination of studying and having fun.
Before I came I felt a bit nervous as it was all new to me... but we are all new, so it is easy to make friends. I learned things I never knew. I enjoyed activities such as hockey and also the classes - music, humanities, geography or experiments in science.
Come here, you will find so many new friends from different countries and it will be the best summer of your life. Teachers here are amazing, so helpful and friendly and learning is really interesting and interactive. Here you can't speak your native language, so you use English all day long.
One of the best summer experiences I have had so far. I really liked the atmosphere, everyone is really ambitions and dedicated to do everything it takes to get university or course they wish to do in the future. I enjoyed the meeting with the doctor and the trip to the hospital. It is intriquing to see how the medical system is different in every country.
I really enjoyed studying in Cambridge, for I am planning maybe to study here. I like the city - it offers shopping, museum, university. As I want to study IB abroad, my aim was to study subjects, I do not have back at school: Environmental Systems and Societies, Economics, Psychology. I managed to see what I am better at and what is more interesting for me.
This is my 6th year at Academic Camp – this time I stayed in London. It is very good programme - studies combined with having a lot of fun. There are rules, but it is because they need you to keep safe, but there is enough freedom as well. You get to know London well.
I studied a selection of subjects including science, maths, humanities and art. I loved the trips, particularly the Bristol Science Museum and the activities – football and fencing. Fencing I watch in TV in Italy, but this was first time I was fencing myself. Watching it it feels simple, but doing it was much harder.
