YMCA of Oakville Summer Camps offer many options for your child to play, connect, build skills, explore leadership and make friends and memories that last a lifetime. One-to-one inclusion support staff are available to support campers - please indicate interest at the time of registration. We still have some space available in our outdoor experience camp locations at Valence and Bronte and in some of our specialty camps at Palermo Park. Financial assistance is available.
After careful consideration based on the latest COVID-19 developments and recommendations by local and regional health officials, we have decided to cancel our previously scheduled 2020 summer camp programs.
“This decision to cancel summer camp programs is not one we take lightly,” said Kyle Barber, President & CEO, YMCAs of Niagara and Oakville. “We know how significant the impact of this news is to campers, parents and our staff, but on examination it was clear to us that our current summer camp model does not allow for the recommended social distancing guidelines from health officials. While this is a significant loss to our community and our operations, we knew it was the only choice at this time. Our team will continue to explore alternative options for summer programs that do fit in the physical distancing guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and we hope to have more information to share on those options in the coming weeks.”

The YMCA is perhaps the most integrated institution that you could ever hope to find, and in that is one the greatest strengths of the programs they offer. Kids spend each day engaged actively with others, something that begins with the bus ride there. It’s fun, of course, but it’s fun you can take seriously, and the values that underwrite the programming are rightly a primary draw. The expert admin and program development that the Y is known for is in ample evidence throughout the Oakville offering, and great use is made of the wealth and diversity of facilities available.

Katherine Dziedzic, Manager, Camp and Youth Leadership
At the YMCA, we believe that camp is a place where magic happens. Camp is a place where each child’s unique talents, personality and perspective is welcomed and celebrated. It’s a place where all campers and counsellors can feel comfortable to be themselves, and have the opportunity to discover how their individuality can impact the world.
Camp is a place to laugh, play and develop life-long friendships. At the YMCA, we believe in helping all children and youth reach their full potential. YMCA campers have the opportunity to develop life skills and try new things, as they deepen their connection with the world around them. They will be challenged to take risks, be goofy, and step out of their comfort zones to accomplish the seemingly “impossible”. All of our camp programs, be it sports or horseback riding, focus on creating positive relationships and healthy communities. Our campers will learn to be leaders, learn how to be part of a team, and
learn to value their individuality.
Join us for a summer that your camper will remember forever!
