UCCC programs offer a combination of pre-planned activities (art/crafts, games, sports, experiments) and camper-directed play with freedom to explore environments and pursue personal interests.   The relationships that are nurtured between camp staff and campers and families is what truly makes UCCC camps stand out.  Our staff are warm and friendly and encourage campers to forge fun and lasting friendships.  Our camp programming begins at 9 AM and finishes at 4PM, but extended care (free play activities) is available.  Campers are encouraged to contribute their ideas and interests to the program.  


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Interpersonal skills: Trying new things, encouraging fellow campers, and getting along with others are all developed in our programs. Teamwork, cooperation, and problem solving are skills that our camp staff model and support in our camps.
  • Resilience: In all things, campers are encouraged to have a growth mind set. Camp staff encourage children to learn from their experience, to keep trying, and to look forward to challenges and to be compassionate to others experiencing frustration.
