(5) Overall experience
Our two kids had an amazing experience at True North Sports Camps this summer! Both the multisport and soccer programs were incredibly well-run. The coaches were enthusiastic, professional, and truly cared about making sure every child was included and having fun. Each day they came home full of energy, stories, and new skills. The balance between structured drills, games, and free play was perfect, and the atmosphere was always positive and supportive. It’s clear the staff know how to connect with kids of all ages and skill levels. Our kids can’t wait to go back next year.
(5) Reason for choosing the camp
We were looking for a camp that balanced fun and skill development, and True North Sports Camps had such a great reputation for doing exactly that. The focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and variety really appealed to us, especially since we have two kids with different interests. Thank you, True North.
(5) Program quality and activities
The camp schedule was a great match for both of our kids — lots of variety, well-organized, and perfectly balanced between skill-building and fun. Our younger one especially loved the soccer sessions, while our older one enjoyed trying different sports in multisport.
The coaches kept things upbeat and engaging, and everything ran smoothly each day. You could tell the staff really cared about creating a fun, positive environment where every kid felt included and excited to participate.
(5) Social dynamics and experience
Both of our kids made new friends and came home talking about their teammates every day. The coaches did a great job encouraging teamwork and making sure everyone felt included, no matter their skill level or experience.
We didn’t see or hear of any issues around bullying — the environment was really positive and welcoming. It felt like a place where kids could just be themselves, have fun, and build confidence while playing together.
(5) Skills and growth
Both of our kids came away with more confidence and stronger skills — not just in sports, but in teamwork and communication too. They learned how to try new things, stay positive, and support others, which was great to see.
There were definitely moments that challenged them — like learning new drills or playing sports they hadn’t tried before — but the coaches made it fun and encouraging, so they were proud to push through and improve each day.
(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors
The staff were fantastic — energetic, organized, and really engaged with the kids. Our children talked about their coaches constantly, which says a lot about the positive impact they had.
Communication was excellent from start to finish. We received clear details before camp began, daily updates on-site were easy and friendly, and everything ran smoothly. We didn’t experience any conflicts, but it was clear the team was attentive and responsive. You could tell they truly cared about creating a safe, fun, and well-managed environment.
(5) Advice and tips
If you’re thinking about this camp, I’d say go for it — it’s a great mix of structure and fun, and the kids come home happy and tired in the best way.
The only thing I’d mention is to plan ahead since the sessions can fill up quickly. Otherwise, everything ran smoothly and met our expectations from start to finish.
